Larry Pickering

Four-time Walkley Award winning political commentator and Churchill Fellow, has returned to the fray over concern that the integrity of news dissemination is continually being threatened by a partisan media.

It would be a mistake to underestimate just how important the Bergdahl story is to the remaining tenure of Barack Obama. The media here didn’t touch the story but early last year I gave it a run suggesting it could in future break Obama in what could fairly be deemed a matter of treason. The time has now come.

Bowe Bergdahl deserted his post and fled to a Taliban encampment. Troops who went to find him were mown down and killed. Photos later emerged (above) with Bergdahl and Taliban Leader, Batar' Udin.

The Taliban needed the US to believe Bergdahl was an abused captive because the plan was to use him as a swap for five of the most important Taliban operatives in US custody.

Bergdahl’s father Bob, had converted to Islam and had been tweeting anti-American material and openly promoting Taliban interests. He was clearly instrumental in arranging the swap.

Had Obama asked the military about the status of the five Taliban captives, he would have been told they were marked as, “never to be released”. The five were responsible for no fewer than 1,000 dead American soldiers. But he didn’t ask. He simply used yet another "executive order" to instruct they be released.

The first indication that a traitorous scam was unfolding was that the US had been told Bowe Bergdahl had been kept in an underground cell. He had arrived for the swap rubbing his eyes and continually blinking unconvincingly.

But it was over an hour’s drive to the changeover point, plenty of time for his eyes to have already adjusted to the light. The ruse was becoming clear.

Obama had arranged for the Taliban leaders to be released from Gitmo to Qatar, which supports the Muslim Brotherhood, with assurances Qatari officials would "monitor" them for one year.

The military was furious and flew Bergdahl to a German holding point to interrogate him, denying him any collaborative contact with his father.

Incredibly, National Security Adviser Susan Rice, was appearing on various news shows claiming that Bergdahl had served with, “honour and distinction.”

Meanwhile Bowe’s father and Obama were bear hugging each other in the White House Rose Garden in front of curious media, iterating how the US military, “never leaves a soldier behind”. The father was speaking phrases in fluent Arabic and Pashto (the official language of Afghanistan). Still Obama hadn’t realised he was part of the scam.

Or had he?

The Military took months to finalise a report into the incident and sent it to the White House, it has been on Obama’s desk for three months, untouched.

The Military knew Obama would object to its findings and would refuse to act on them. So, early this week the Military moved to Court Martial Bergdahl without forewarning Obama who was busy honouring a decomposing Saudi king.

But yesterday the Pentagon denied reports that the Military was preparing to Court Martial Bergdahl, stressing the top commander reviewing the case had made no decision yet. Hmmmm.

Other reports suggest the process is already in train and the excreta is about to hit the fan in an open Court disclosing Obama’s and Bob and Bowe Bergdahl’s complicity in a treasonous plot to undermine the security of the United States to the advantage of its enemy, the Taliban .

Intriguing reports you will not read elsewhere from early last year are here:

BDS. So true.

I don't agree with the only good muslim is a dead one BUT I do believe that the only God muslim lives in his own country under the rules he appreciates, not in Australia where their values are not compatible with the majority. If they cannot appreciate this and do something about it THEN we have a problem. OK, we have a significant problem.

The gentleman on the left is one of his newfound Taliban brothers - Badar'udin Haqqani (FFS Lazza, at least quote the name right), a senior commander of the Haqqani network, reported to have been killed by a drone strike in 2012. Best couple of comments I've seen about that pic are on the 'This ain't hell' blog -

Comment -"The photo above is disturbing!
Regardless how he put himself in the situation, that rapist to his right needs a drone straight up his ass!
Dish out the decision and punishment!"

Reply - "Is it really rape if he was willing? Then again, even if he was, the goats and 6-year-olds probably weren’t."

Has there been any discussion on Shortarse dismissing nastyastasia

Look at Google and ask "larrysinclair" he's been fighting Obuma from before his election. Was in a Queer relationship with Obuma and others. There is at least one death of a poofter involved. Go search.

No Rossco. We leave on March 26th. A long planned trip. When we get back, it will be back to a working life.

So your not on your trip yet?

"As the logistics and military leadership requirements of World War II escalated after the June 1944 Normandy Landings, the United States government created a new version of General of the Army. The five-star rank and authority of General of the Army and equivalent naval fleet admiral was created by an Act of Congress on a temporary basis when Pub.L. 78-482 passed on 14 December 1944, as a temporary rank, subject to reversion to permanent rank six months after the end of the war. The temporary rank was then declared permanent 23 March 1946 by Public Law 333 of the 79th Congress…It was created to give the most senior American commanders parity of rank with their British counterparts holding the ranks field marshal and admiral of the fleet. This …is not comparable to the ACW version."
The comments from US servicemen are rather revealing. Seems it's not normal practice to have a Major-General leading this kind of investigation. Unless it's politically motivated and expected to deliver very particular conclusions. In this case, either it backfired for Obama or succeeded if the 'political motivation' behind it wasn't particularly fond of Obama....
Protected species...

In the comments-
"He strolls around Fort Sam with his "body guard" laughing it up."

A more tongue in cheek take on things -

The terrorist swapped for him back in Qatar organizing the next lot of weaponry for the next attack. Swapping a deserter for a known terrorist and soldiers getting killed in the process a bad look of Obama!

The report has labelled him a deserter. The military not happy with Obama sitting on it, making them look bad!

Everyone seems to have missed my point about "culture"
Had Bashir organised his dirty deeds in Australia, we would have locked him up for life for aiding in the deaths of 200 people ........but the Indonesians give him 24 months with a presidential reduction in sentence for good behaviour...where we would have never let him out.
You are also right about being able to buy your way out of it in Indonesia.
I have friends who have spent a lot of time there and one who lived there for 10 years.

Merkel as Soft Cop in False Flag Offensive on Russia
At the World Economic Forum last week, German Chancellor Angela Merkel let the cat out of the bag with her sly offer, or rather bribe, to Russia. The German leader told delegates in Davos that European Union sanctions on Russia would be lifted in exchange for a «peace deal» in Ukraine. She promised a «free trade pact from Lisbon to Vladivostok».
That’s a bit rich coming from the bankrupt EU, but nevertheless let’s accept the assumption that Frau Merkel is offering something very juicy. Why would she do that, and right at this time when civilians are being massacred in eastern Ukraine?
In other words, Merkel is saying if Moscow capitulates to Western objectives of ceding Ukraine to its full political, economic and military control, then Russia will be «paid off» with respite from Western sanctions and can look forward to a tantalizing free trade «happy ending» with the EU. How generous of Frau Merkel!
The Russian-speaking population of Ukraine’s eastern Donbas regions will then be abandoned to their fate of accepting the legitimacy of the Western-installed Kiev regime.
The New York Times spelled out the reasoning further in an article at the weekend headlined: ‘War Is Exploding Anew in Ukraine; Rebels Vow More’. The Times reported with dripping innuendo blaming Russia for the violence and quoting its usual NATO and Kiev regime «sources». But take note of this little giveaway nugget in the NYT: «The renewed fighting has… put to rest the notion that Russia’s president, Vladimir V. Putin, would be so staggered by the twin blows of Western sanctions and a collapse in oil prices that he would forsake the separatists in order to foster better relations with the West».
So, the Western calculus revealed by Merkel and the New York Times is that Putin has not been «staggered by the twin blows of sanctions and a collapse in oil prices to forsake the separatists in order to foster better relations with the West».
In this context, Angela Merkel is shamelessly dangling a «free trade bribe» in Russia’s face. Behave yourself, she is saying: just be a good boy, roll over to our geopolitical objectives and we will call off the economic war in the form of sanctions and the crash in oil prices, the latter courtesy of the Western puppets in Saudi Arabia pumping oil into an over-supplied world market.
Merkel, who is known for her ardent «transatlantic» partnership with America, is thus showing herself to be dutifully doing Washington’s bidding over the Ukraine crisis and the bigger objective of subordinating Russia to Western hegemony, or as the New York Times euphemistically calls it «better relations with the West».

In WW2 didn't the Americans have to invent the five star General because they had no eqivalent rank to the British Field Marshall?

I have never holidayed in Bali never ever considered doing so.....last place that I would desire to visit.....

Elvis Presley was a Sergeant on discharge! A Staff Sergeant (USA) is a squad (section) commander equivalent to our Corporal. Slightly better in the USMC where they are usually posted as platoon sergeants. I think there are more ranks of Sergeant in the US forces than there are of all ranks, Officers and ORs in Commonwealth Armies.

A great Australian Sportsman. Kel Nagle has passed away at 94. He is the sort of Australian that should have been honoured with a Knighthood for his input into Australian Golf. There is absolutely no way the Abbottophiliacs can justify giving the award to Prince Phil even though we love the old boy.

Yes, OR, I can never get around the way every enlisted man seems to be a sergeant of some description in the modern day US Army. A case of too many chiefs and not enough Indians?

Just so TG. A US Army sergeant is roughly the equivalent of a newly minted lance jack. The slide started sometime after WWII, Korea at the latest.
