POLL SHOCK HORROR: 49% WANT A STOP TO MUSLIM IMMIGRATION
Harry Richardson is a long-time student of Islam and author of best seller, "the Story Of Mohammed - Islam Unveiled', http://thestoryofmohammed.blogspot.com.au
I was shocked and disappointed to see the result of last week’s Essential poll which found that 49 per cent of Australians are now opposed to Islamic immigration into this country. How could this have happened I wondered? I found myself agreeing with Muslim activist Mariam Veiszadeh (below) and thinking that perhaps there had been a mistake. Maybe the poll was wrong!
How could it be that 51 per cent of Australians want to ban Islamic immigration? As it turns out it seems that the poll was wildly incorrect. Ms Veiszadeh’s Twitter poll of 40,000 voters showed that fully 74 per cent of Aussies want an end to Islamic Immigration.
It’s hard to know what to make of this but I think Tanya Plibersek hit the nail on the head perfectly. She said that we are in this situation because, “Australian leaders have not done enough to foster cohesion.”
Spot on Tanya, I couldn’t agree more. Nothing is more important for a society than community cohesion. If you don’t have it, the society will degenerate.
People lose trust. They volunteer less, they lose respect for the law and begin to act selfishly. Eventually things can get so bad as to create a complete societal breakdown and civil war. Community cohesion is vital
So yes, as Tanya reminds us, our leadership could have done much more to promote community cohesion. They could for instance, have refrained from importing hordes of Muslims. Australia never had a problem with community cohesion before they pulled that one off.
Malcolm Fraser was warned by his own Department not to bring in the Lebanese Muslims. He was told that they were totally unsuitable and would never integrate.
Undeterred, he kept this advice secret and brought them in anyway. He didn’t house them in his own Victorian electorate of course. Instead, he dumped them on the people of Western Sydney who were mostly working class Labor voters.
We found this out a few years ago because cabinet documents are no longer kept secret after 30 years. Of course, anyone can make one mistake. However, both parties continued with this disastrous policy when all of the evidence showed that it was causing serious problems.
Crime, corruption, fraud, welfare dependency, ghettoisation, underachievement and terrorism have resulted. The Government has access to all of these reports. New South Wales detective Tim Priest has been warning about them from the early eighties. Surely he wasn’t the only one.
Instead of stopping this immigration while an investigation was completed however, the Government pushed on. Anyone who opposed them was shut down with vicious accusations of racism and xenophobia.
Free speech was abolished. People were sacked, prosecuted or vilified for stating the truth.
Muslims have an ideology and culture which is the antithesis of our liberal secular democracy, yet anyone who stated this fact was labeled a “fringe lunatic.” As these latest polls show however, it is the pro-Islam lobby who are the fringe lunatics.
The problem is that these fringe lunatics control the Press, the universities and the major political parties. Unfortunately, until the information age came along, they had the rest of us over a barrel.
Until now, people had no realistic alternative. The return of Pauline Hanson has changed all of that.
It took me by surprise, as it has many others. Not only has Pauline matured, her team are now far stronger. I have been very impressed by Malcolm Roberts who gave an excellent maiden speech. Sources tell me that Brian Burston is every bit as good.
I think their success and maturity will attract a lot of voters who are sick to death of the mainstream parties pandering to fake Islamic grievances.
When I published my book just three years ago, I was predicting that Islam would be finished within 15 years.
“How will that happen?” people often ask me. I’m reminded of a quote from a Hemmingway novel. One of the characters was asked how he went bankrupt. “gradually,” he replied... “then suddenly.”
For the longest time, the Islamic train wreck has been happening so gradually that few people have noticed. Now however, I feel a sea change welling up. People defending Islam are losing confidence. Those attacking Islam are becoming confident and optimistic.
The major parties (and the Greens) have staked their credibility on the myth of a peaceful and harmonious Islam. Their credibility and support have been gradually eroding for a long time. If they don’t pull their heads in soon, I expect that the last vestige of their credibility will disappear quite suddenly, along with the fantasy of a peaceful Islam.
I also think that “suddenly” is a lot closer than most people realise.
