Halal Is Sharia Law!
Kirralie Smith is the creator of the halal choices website, shopping guide book and phone app and an expert on halal certification of foods and supermarkets in Australia www.halalchoices.com.au
The word "halal" simply means “permissible”. Outside of Sharia Law “halal” as a concept does not even exist. Halal certification is a recent invention that is now spinning an estimated $3 trillion a year! While many are just in it for the money, others are using it to strategically and deliberately subject people to Sharia Law.
A few years ago Mr Ikabel Patel of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils (AFIC) said. "Australia has had legislation on halal since 1983 -- so we are already dealing with aspects of Sharia for the benefit of the country."
On the Islamic website muslimvillage.com in June 2011 the secretary of the Australian Islamic Mission, Siddiq Buckley is quoted as saying, “There are practical examples of [Sharia] here already. We have Muslim schools, mosques, funeral parlours, shops and businesses. We’ve got abattoirs, Islamic charities, Islamic financial institutions. There are so many things – halal meals served on airlines. This is all part of Sharia.”
The Daily Mail reported in 2010 that The Grand Mufti of Bosnia Herzegovina, Dr Mustafa Ceric urged the Muslim Ummah to conquer the world through the Halal movement as Halal means pure and hygiene and the non-Muslim world has no hesitation to accept it.
In a text of December 2011, Youssef Qaradawi encourages precisely "use gradualism in the application of Sharia law." The goal of Islamists involved in halal is to control all stages ranging from the production, transportation, retailing and marketing. Therefore Mustafa Ceric can reasonably speak of, "conquering the world through movement halal.”
I have quoted from the Supreme Islamic Council of Halal Meat in Australia (SICHMA) constitution previously. They clearly state, “The Organisation shall be a non-profit RELIGIOUS organisation DEDICATED to the PROMOTION of the Islamic religion, culture and principles.” Their words, not mine (although I capitalised some to make a point).
It goes on to state that the objectives are to prepare halal meat “strictly to Islamic Sharia.” Even the certificate states it is according to Sharia.
SICHMA is a registered charity earning more than a million dollars a year. Their purpose is “Advancing Religion”. How do they fund it? Through our everyday shopping purchases.
Do you want to fund the Islamic religion?
Do you want to give to this million dollar plus “charity” every time you buy meat in a supermarket killed at the Junee abattoir?
What about when you order a juicy steak from Seaworld Resort on the Gold Coast?
Some might think halal certification is rather benign and no real threat, after all it is just food. And plastics. And baby lotion. And transport… and….
Perhaps, but the fact is it is an aspect of Sharia. Sharia Law is the way of life in Islam. It governs all of life for adherents to Islam. There is no separation, compartmentalising or picking and choosing which aspects of Sharia are good and which are bad. That would be insulting the prophet and the Qur’an.
There is a caveat that Muslims must adhere to the law of the land in which they reside, but with the goal that Sharia would be eventually implemented. The “Why Islam” website says, “These laws are considered timeless and perfect, geared towards the success, welfare and peace of humans in this world and in the hereafter.”
So halal is actually Sharia Law being exercised in our nation today. Maybe that doesn’t bother you, that’s ok, your choice. But it does bother me, and many others. I do not want any aspect of Sharia Law imposed upon me and I do not want to fund its promotion.
Some very disturbing realities of Sharia Law are a woman’s testimony is worth half of a man’s. You need four male witnesses to prove rape. Underage children can be married. A non-Muslim’s testimony is not equal to a Muslims. You can’t criticise Islam, the Qur’an or Mohammed.
Sharia Law is being practised and implemented around the world today. I post links to these examples on my website and face book page. Reports of young couples being maimed tortured and even slaughtered because they were together in the same house without a chaperone. Child brides. Beheaded journalists. 2000 massacred.
If you want to fund the promotion of Sharia Law in Australia with your everyday grocery purchases that’s fine, your choice. But it certainly is not mine.
