70,000 VISA OVERSTAYS CLAIM RACISM
... but SH-Y says we shouldn’t ruin their holiday
Four-time Walkley Award winning political commentator and Churchill Fellow, has returned to the fray over concern that the integrity of news dissemination is continually being threatened by a partisan media.
An estimated 70,000 people who have overstayed their visas are virtually impossible to locate because of stretched resources according to the AFP. The number has dramatically increased from a reported 62,000 five years ago.
Most overstays have arrived here on a claimed holiday but now work for cash in factories and farms across Australia sending money back home.
More have come as “students” but quickly lose interest in academia and meld into the workforce.
There are still 20,000 of Gillard and Rudd’s 50,000 unprocessed illegal boat arrivals that may never be located. Gillard put those people, mostly Iranians and Afghanis, on E Bridging visas that forbade them working until they could be processed. Hmmm, wonder where they are now.
PM Abbott’s brand spanking new ‘Australian Border Force’ has somehow stuffed up what would have been a very good hunting ground for these overstays in one of many Melbourne protests since the CFMEU-backed Andrews Labor Government took over.
Fancy forecasting a visa clampdown on a protest group! Why not just do it? Immigration Minister Peter Dutton reckons his office was not involved in a debacle that played right into the hands of the university Left and Greens.
Sarah Hanson-Young was the first to express outrage that the ABF would dare “racially profile” (I think that means question) anyone suspected of being here illegally.
Of course the protest group promptly swapped their placards and banners to indicate it was now an anti racist rally.
Melbourne has always been the incubator of everything Green and hard Socialist Left, after all it’s home to the ACTU, Trades Hall, Slater & Gordon, the AWU, CFMEU and of course Mr Adam Bandt, the sole Green Member in the Federal Lower House, holds the seat of Melbourne.
Well, there’s nothing like a chant of racism to get a protest up and going even if it has nothing to do with racism. But when Melbourne’s CBD gets back to normal this morning these same Lefty radicals on disability benefits are hotfooting it up to Bendigo to confront the United Patriots group who are protesting the building of a Mega Mosque on behalf of Bendigo’s concerned citizens.
No doubt that demo will morph into an “anti racist” confrontation too, I mean they’ve already got the placards right, so why not use them?
