"BETTER OUT THAN IN MALCOLM"
Four-time Walkley Award winning political commentator and Churchill Fellow, has returned to the fray over concern that the integrity of news dissemination is continually being threatened by a partisan media.
Every new national leader needs to be photographed with the Commander in Chief of the Free World, but I detected a certain lack of confidence in our Malcolm Turnbull this morning as he nervously stumbled over the meaningless, obligatory platitudes we are all used to.
Obama had this, “Gord how many more of these do I have to do” look as Malcolm desperately tried to appear the self-assured man of international political substance.
Oh well, I guess being the fifth of five different PMs in five years doesn’t fill anyone with confidence.
No, I wasn’t expecting the reciprocal ogling and “feely bum” stuff that was evident between Julia and Barry but blimey, Malcolm certainly did look a fraction out of his depth. Awkward sort of.
But then I imagined Bill Shorten in his place and Malcolm suddenly appeared statesmanlike.
