Over-the-top cops?

This disturbing video was sent to me by a QLD police recruit who is now having second thoughts about joining the force.

The incident was at Sunnybank Plaza south of Brisbane and police claim the couple were suspected of stealing.

The Police were punching the back of the hand of "Ozzie the assailant" so Oscar would release his grip on the Officer.
Standard and acceptable Practice and action.

The coppers at the Sunnybank Plaza are a bunch of of chicken shit heros who should lose their jobs, but then that's Queensland for you

Oh please!

They were resisting arrest. What is your problem? Maybe a week in the Danish police might change yr mind

Why is everyone on the back of the Cops these two ferals stole wine and when they were arrested stacked on a turn. Coppers are not paid to fight so they do what has to be done to subdue an offender. Dont resist and all is fine. SIMPLE Sick of Cop bashers

The two arrestees probably speak highly of the nsw police too. I doubt they're in love with qld police though.

Can someone fer christsakes tell me how to post large articles.........please!1

If the police act outside the law, what happened in the mall can happen to each and everyone of you! The old strawman argument of "If you haven't done anything wrong you have nothing to worry about" holds no water and is used by policing agencies to go outside the laws while stepping all over your common law and freeman rights

The basic tenet of any law enforcement agency (in the western world) is to ensure laws are complied with. The law enforcement agency, and as such its members, are required to comply with those said laws. Simply put, police in every state, province and territory in Australia are NOT ABOVE THE LAW!
Regardless of the majority distaste here for the "SUSPECTS", they were NOT handled within the law, disallowed their common legal rights and denied fair and proper justice!
When police determine guilt, when guilty until proven innocent becomes the norm within policing agencies, our right as free men are being trampled upon! For those of you on this blog cheering the cops on, REMEMBER! " He who does not stand up for his rights HAS NONE!"

1/ suspected of stealing? EVERYONE is innocent until proven guilty! That is determined in a court by a jury of their PEERS! not by coppers ready to go the biff!
2/ As determined by the Attorney General in Victoria, VicPol is a private company employed by Her Majesty the Queen under contract to the Govt of Victoria to police its laws. VicPol has an ABN, Victorian police are corporate employees. I daresay each state is EXACTLY the same.
3/ Note! Australian Police are enforcers of the Law NOT a peace enforcement agency!

I thought the Police were quite patient. Had this couple reacted against police like this in many other countries the police would have smashed them to bit. This also appears to be a setup. The couple seems to know they were being filmed. Their 15 minutes of TV fame? Western TV has far too much power over their viewers. And don't they know it. This type of shit should be banned on TV. If a TV station doesn't have the FULL facts on what they show they should be prevented from airing it until they do. And report ONLY the facts not their or other peoples opinions. This is a ratings and anti police grab. All this couple had to do was go quietly with the police. Once they resisted police - police can use reasonable force.

We don't know the full story yet.

Good on the cops for their seriousness in dealing with this vermin. What cretins resist and abuse police like this? Obviously there's drugs involved. Fancy having to deal daily with such lowlife scum. Hopefully the officers weren't injured but hoping the filthy maggots who came to the attention of enforcement did suffer some discomfort. Some people deserve anguish. They bring it on themselves. 99.9 percent of shoppers had no issues at all I bet.

Good on the QPS I say. Bloody scrotes had it coming.

The only comment I would make regarding cops is this....As a teacher, I know that unless one is a teacher, one simply does not have a clue, not a bloody clue as to the reality in schools and of how mickey mouse education in Australia is, yet non-teachers feel free to rant and rave about something when they know nothing. As I am not a police officer, I don't have a clue about the reality of being a police officer, ergo, I would never rant and rave about what a copper does. Never been on a battlefield so I don't judge soldiers, never been a cop so I don't judge cops. I wish people would stop and think about that. If you don't do a job then, I don't care who you are, you DO NOT HAVE A CLUE about the reality of that job.

Cops will be fine, bloke has not got a leg to stand on!

I'd say the Police were handling two foul mouth offenders as best they could. Legs or no legs the bloke was resisting arrest and the Police won't back away from that.
I remember years ago training in a dojo where we had to fight on our knees. A bloke on his knees can be bloody dangerous believe me.
Sorry LP but I don't see anything wrong in this video.

My wife works as a shop assistant in a newsagency in Canberra. At least once a week the staff are threatened by scum trying to steal items or just abuse them for doing their job, Last year they had to eject a woman who had squatted down in a corner of the shop and taken a dump! Manager and son had to man-handle the woman and her partner out of the shop while the manageress got a bucket and mop to clean up the mess.

These soft cocks filming with their mobile phones and whingeing about police brutality are usually the first to ring for the cops when they are threatened themselves.

Wel; Hello Thailor , do you think that you were in the menth toileths thucking a young boy would have thomething to do with the poliths thaying "freeth"
