“BROKE” AusAID GIFTS $25 MIL TO CLINTON CAUSE
In a surprising move the Clinton Foundation has released the names of many of its larger donors. Clearly this is in preparation for Hillary’s run at the Presidency and designed to fend off criticism of the sources of her campaign funding. Under US law no foreign agency can fund any political movement, of course that law is continually breached.
But the big question for Australia is, WTF is an Australian Government aid agency (and now part of DFAT) doing supporting the Clinton Foundation, to the tune of up to $25 million, which in turn supports the UN’s global warming push?
The Royal House of Saud has joined AusAID in kicking in an equal amount elevating both to the “largest donor” category.
Now I don’t want to be picky but $25 million would likely keep a few thousand starving children alive for quite some time and that’s exactly what would be expected of this taxpayer-funded AusAID agency.
Under the incoming Abbott Government in 2013, AusAID was quietly merged with DFAT amid a rash of executive resignations in protest at likely cuts. The agency has since been all but abolished and maybe that’s a good thing.
Under the Gillard Government DFAT was also found guilty of extra curricular activities in funding and organising the illegal abduction to Australia of the four Italian girls who were sent home after a protracted legal battle that led to a High Court decision that they be returned.
No-one from DFAT was ever charged despite Pickering Post having named the guilty conspirators inside DFAT.
AusAID’s sort of redundant role is to now advise and support Julie Bishop and to assist in the reduction in world poverty in the most stricken areas and it has done so with measured success.
But I am still trying to get my head around an Australian Government aid agency joining Saudi Arabia in gifting up to $25 million to a foreign political entity. I know the Saudis are in the pocket of Barack Obama... but bloody AusAID in the Clintons' pocket?
