Abbott is right, the Liberal Party must revert to its roots. Not because, as Greiner suggests, the Party will otherwise lose to Shorten, but because it's Menzies' Liberal Party and Shorten is simply unelectable anyway… along with a few other reasons.
Contrary to what media says, a plebiscite on gay marriage has no chance of getting up and therefore no chance of becoming law, when gay marriage should be law. Almost everyone who is asked in endless surveys if they agree with gay marriage will say “yes” without hesitation. But if asked to respond to what the proposed legislation will actually say in plebiscite form they will unhesitatingly say “no”.
Journeying from Northern Hemisphere winters and Christmas breaks, is the wrong time of year for most players anyway, but questions are being asked whether we actually deserve a tennis major like we once did, now that European countries like Russia, France, Spain and Germany are way more deserving.
Communist Russia was once the darling of the entire Left. How quickly things change when you think you were dudded in an election. It’s all nonsense of course, as all nations try to influence other nations’ elections, more so now because they are cyber IT efficient.
Would Gillard liken herself to Emmeline Pankhurst? Would Rudd liken himself to Jesus Christ? Well, um, probably… but for the extensively flawed Lib leader in Turnbull to liken himself, or his ideology, to that of the great Ming is a ludicrous proposition. No Mr Turnbull, the only thing you should liken yourself to is lichen itself.
If Syria’s Bashar Assad was warning citizens of impending gas bombing while selling gas masks to the poor bastards, it would be analogous of Al Gore’s climate warnings while making a carbon credits killing.
Emmanuel Macron describes himself as an egalitarian Centrist which, in French terms, is close to a Verdant Marxist and fits well with our dear leader’s philosophy. Mal and Lucy are comfortable within the President’s and his wife’s rules. Very Green, very EU, very global warmist, very (small l) liberal and very open borders, where every line imaginable can be crossed.
Donald Trump will find it a little lonely at this G20 only because he has walked away from the fraudulent Global Warming Paris Accord. But others will follow him now that a US absence makes the Accord even more unviable and disastrous for an energy hungry world.
I would like to be a fly on the wall at only one G20 meeting ever….and that’s this one! Naturally the Left media are promoting a Russia-US showdown over their claim that Putin cost Hillary an election. What bloody rubbish!
I suggested May first this year as a likely date that Pyongyang would be destroyed after Trump had drawn a line in the sand in late April. That small window has closed and Trump’s confidence in China’s ability to assist in closing the Kid down has been shattered.
The Prime Minister’s recent remarks confirm his agenda… he couldn’t give a stuff what Party he leads as long as he has his eyes on the prize of an Islamic-sympathetic republic. He might bask in out-polling Shorten as preferred PM but I have a sick guinea pig that could do that.
