Australia’s Islamic minority of 2.21 per cent is holding a squirrel grip on our Parliament. At least 15 Federal seats are now in the hands of Islamic voters with populations of between 5 per cent and 22.67 per cent with many more seats likely to swing on the Islamic vote.
When a war-weary America decided “I’m out of here”, it left Iraq in an insoluble mess, exhibiting the stupidity of invading a country, killing its tyrant, installing a new government and simply pissing off.
In an astonishing Fairfax report, compiled from freedom of information documents, an estimated 120,000 illegal entrants flew into Australia between the years 2008 and 2013... and they remain here on fake passports and false documents.
In a shock move last night Russia’s Vladimir Putin slammed reciprocal sanctions on Europe and the West in a clear case of self harm, at the same time he has doubled the Russian military presence on the border in response to an imminent Ukrainian attack.
A dead three year-old girl, bloodied and limp, is rushed to a school yard and laid on her back. Dead adults are also dragged to the school, leaving trails of blood on the asphalt while Aljazeera cameras whirl.
Mike Carlton too far Left even for Fairfax? It seems so, as the hoary old chestnut of “he decided to resign” was trotted out today by Fairfax management.
More like a lack of leadership decision. And the new tranche of anti-terrorism legislation has more holes than a crumpet, but it’s a start and shows the Government has recognised the threat even if it still can’t legally identify it as a Muslim threat. It would never have passed the Senate anyway.
Is it a renaissance of China and Russia, or the death of America? Libya, Gaza, Iraq, and Syria are ablaze with little hope of resolution. Afghanistan is a ticking time bomb of Islamic extremism and like Iraq, it awaits US departure before returning to its violent barbaric Sharia roots.
PM Abbott’s pet signature policy of Paid Parental Leave was always a dead duck. There has never been such a woolly-headed idea from either side of politics. How can a thought bubble to shore up Tony Abbott’s lack of female support be promoted as a “productivity” measure when multi billions are proposed to lure women out of the workforce (possibly never to return) to have babies on welfare?
“I’m no political virgin”, exclaimed Kathy Jackson as she left the Royal Commission supported by intrepid union buster Michael Smith. Well, at least she got that bit right because, by her own admission, she has “windfallen” her way to join the ranks of Williamson, Thomson, Gillard and Wilson.
When the Government applied to the Victorian Supreme Court for a suppression order regarding Reserve Bank subsidiaries’ alleged bribery of Asian leaders, it also asked that a senior diplomatic whistleblower’s explosive affidavit be suppressed. Inexplicably, it submitted that the suppression orders also be suppressed. Justice Hollingworth agreed.
It must be devastating for iconic Gillard whistleblower, Bob Kernohan, to witness a good mate swap his principles for a pretty face. Michael Smith has done exactly that. After he and Kathy arrived back, fresh from a Bali holiday, Smith sat quietly in the Royal Commission into unions, privately defending the indefensible.
As Deputy Opposition Leader, Julie Bishop said that, “The revelations concerning the Reserve Bank involved serious allegations about breaches of domestic and foreign laws that, if proven, could seriously harm Australia's international reputation”.
Now maybe I’m getting a little senile but I’ll be buggered if I can figure out what the hell is going on here, and perhaps someone on this blog can explain it because, at least to me, there appears to be something terribly wrong.
