PM Rudd’s last minute arrangement for illegal immigrants, made with PNG during the 2013 election, was nothing more than a one page memorandum of understanding... no contract and not even an agreement was signed. The MOU was hurriedly drawn up between roast pig and betel nut banquets. But the $30 million of Aussie taxpayers’ funds handed over to the brawling savages did seal the deal. It was typically just another of Rudd's arrangements.
Security agencies and police forces still insist that we keep the Muslim hierarchy on-side so that they can dob in their “radicalised” kids who are showing signs of terrorist activities. Strange but it seems the families and mosques of these “radicalised” youths invariably insist on their innocence or they are actually involved in the same terrorist activity themselves.
When you choose to sue someone - or an organisation - be very sure you know what you’re doing. Defamation law in Australia can be tricky. A false move, misjudgement, forgetful memory or sloppy lawyer could lose you your house. Plenty have been rendered homeless through ego driven legal cases based on nothing more than bluff and wind.
David Cameron has apparently decided the Left is the preferred place to be in future. Any British PM worth his salt would have punched Obama’s lights out for threatening Poms with “going to the end of the queue” if they did not vote to stay in the EU... Extraordinary!
The Australian Government’s Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority’s web site claims if conditions (sea temperatures) don't improve within weeks, the corals will eventually starve and die. The website claims coral bleaching “is not always fatal”, but has been one of the main causes of coral death... blah blah etc.
The Carbon Sense Coalition today urged people to celebrate the true green fuels – oil, coal, gas, nuclear and, in places, geothermal and hydro. The Chairman of “Carbon Sense”, Mr Viv Forbes, said in a Press release this week that these fuels have reduced man’s pressure on the environment to such an extent that they should be celebrated on “Earth Day”.
Despite the scathing review, Greg Medcraft's term as ASIC Chairman was actually "extended" by Treasurer Scott Morrison in order for Medcraft to implement a $121 million recovery package Morrison convinced the Banks to pay for. Blimey, that’s like convincing a condemned man to help build the gallows.
This would involve the removal of half of his bum and five otherwise healthy organs – “My bladder, bowel, prostate, colon and rectum-- and for the rest of my days I will have to carry both a colostomy bag and a bladder bag.” This was not a good read in The Australian while having my Weet Bix but Graham Richardson is determined to battle on in excruciating pain. Like me he probably has a young son in mind.
For decades Australian governments have waged a pointless war on industries producing carbon dioxide using taxes, emissions targets, direct action, harassment of coal and gas explorers and bankers, and promotion of expensive weather-dependent green energy. This has damaged all metals industries – iron and steel, copper, nickel, aluminium, lead and zinc.
I don’t always agree with the left leaning academics of the Western world. Fortunately, there are a few areas where we can find some common ground.
Most Americans and Australians believe the current US election is a Federal Presidential election. It’s not! All posters here know it’s a two Party struggle to find their best respective candidates and, despite the protests, any party can select whatever candidate it wants for an election to be held later this year. The GOP doesn’t want Donald and the Libs didn’t want Bronwyn. Poor Bronwyn.
Bill Shorten thinks he can make truckies responsible and stop them taking drugs. Little does he realise that without speed pills there would be a semi trailer accident on every bend with dead people strewn everywhere. Private truck operators do it really tough and they don't need to be unionised by Shorten.
The Aboriginal Father Christmas addressed the Press Club today in a room of fawning Lefties and he wants greater representation in Parliament. Well, Aborigines have been over-represented over a long period thanks largely to Captains’ picks on parachutes into the Senate.
I have mentioned before that I don’t watch television. Sunrise is another vivid example of why I avoid it. The story was titled the Violent Protests over Halal Food. No, the violent protests were initiated by the lefty thugs who act like fascists trying to shut down peaceful demonstrations. By the way, no-one on that panel, including myself had anything to do with the protests.
Six years of Rudd, Gillard, Rudd left Australia with its pants down around its knees, in deep debt, with a bare cupboard, China in decline and a sense of hopelessness. This coming budget will make no attempt to even begin to address this Labor induced disaster because an election will be held soon after and the Libs will refuse to give Shorten a dozen free kicks. This is a classic Turnbull stuff-up.
