THOMSON TO BE CHARGED, POLICE SAY

It appears Craig Thomson is in for some Xmas joy as Victorian and NSW police are now confident they have the evidence to lay criminal charges against him before the end of the year.

A.C.T. A LABOR/GREEN ENCLAVE

While State constituents are running a mile from Gillard socialism, Canberra continues to embrace its comfortable Left existence. And what a comfy little town of 350,000 Canberra is. It is cosseted and insulated from the harsh realities of life the rest of Australia endures.

"COME GET ME", YOU BASTARD THOMSON

Craig Thomson has copped a well-earned serve from Health Services Union members today. They have claimed there is "black and white" evidence he spent their funds on prostitutes and they are angry and invited him to sue them.

PAY FOR ON-LINE NEWS? You're kidding!

News Ltd’s self proclaimed on-line expert, CEO Kim Williams, says 40,000 subscribers are now paying for his news. That figure is bound to be inflated and still far below viability. The pace of change is well ahead of old bastards like Williams who actually believes he is “up with it”. Far better to employ teenagers to cope with the new world of digital IT stuff. Intros tempting you to hand over your credit card to read more of the story are a joke. Why pay $12 a month to read news you can read anywhere?  If you really want to read The Australian stories without paying simply cut and paste the headline into Google and “voila”, there it is! But Williams would already know this if he was “up with it”, wouldn’t he.

UN SEAT A PYRRHIC VICTORY

“Only $24 million... quite a modest amount”, so sayeth the man who keeps his used chewing gum in his coat pocket, Bob Carr.

PREPARE FOR A DELUGE OF GUTTER POLITICS

"If you get to senior positions, you have to be able to kill your opponents. It is not pretty, it's not pleasant, but if those at the top can't kill, then those at the bottom certainly cannot. High politics demands very low political skills, too."

Who said this? A filthy foreiger with a shady past named John McTernan said this.

ASYLUM SEEKER PIRATES ON THEIR WAY HERE

A boatload of “asylum seekers” are on their way to Australia after having pirated a fishing vessel off Sri Lanka. According to intial reports, the crew of the fishing boat were thrown overboard and drowned.

THOMSON A TINY POINTER TO CULTURE OF CRIME

The FWA Statement of Claim submitted to the Federal Court is 198 pages of disappointment for lowly paid HSU workers. It is over-time at 4 years late and over-priced at $1.3 million but an introspective view of how unions operate.

GILLARD FILES MISSING FROM S & G, but we know where they are, don't we Mr Grech... or where they should be

Slater & Gordon’s managing director, Andrew Grech, told The Age tonight they had not been able to locate any documents relating to Julia Gillard’s controversial transactions.

MEDIA DANCE TO McTERNAN'S DISHONEST TUNES

The story of the day was Abbott’s “failure” to address the turning of boats around with Indonesia’s President Bambang Yudhoyono Susilo.

WHY ARMSTRONG WAS NEVER NAILED

The 4 Corners drugs expose on seven-time winner of the Tour de France, Lance Armstrong, was tantalisingly incomplete.

THOMSON NOT THE END OF LABOR

Bill Shorten decided, via legislation, to make it harder for union crooks to escape scot free with millions in members’ funds. The Opposition wanted penalties of hundreds of thousands of dollars imposed but ex-AWU National Secretary, Shorten, wanted a mere $6,600.
